20th May - We arrive in Khao Sok after a bearable 3 hour journey. We really wanted to stay in a tree house but they are triple the price of a jungle hut. The huts are really nice, even if they don't have the air conditioning and pool that we have become accustomed to! Straight away we book our lake tour of the national park, where you stay in floating bungalows and do jungle treks during the day. Khao Lak was a bit of a shock after being at the National Park as it was a lot more touristy than most of the places we've been so far. ... well because we were up early.

The final part of our first day was spent on a night safari, we all went out in the long tailed boat with very strong spotlights to try and spot some animals, we saw a few but the moon was very bright and this can put the animals off being too active as other things can see them better too.
