      ... probably busy with work; and she is busy with work too. I ask what he does for work and she says ‘I don’t know; maybe he is retired?’. Sounds like one more loser old guy who is taking advantage of a young local girl to me. Apparently he spends six months of every year in the Philippines.       ... charming little villages with families outside enjoying themselves. Soon however, dusk set in and the dark windows on the car made it even darker. For the first hour of dusk no vehicles turn their lights on and things become quite chaotic as tricycles and motorbikes creeping long the road become next to invisible.       ... cages at the front with a little hole in that you had to order what you wanted through. Cebu looked like it was perhaps a dangerous place, especially as guns are legal. Probably to do with the huge American influence you can feel in the Philippines. But I didn't see any trouble and the local people all seemed very friendly.
