    Palapon: Day 10

A travel blog entry by leemclennan on May 15, 2015

Began interval training for the morning run (1 minute sprint, 3 minute walk). Slept after breakfast then went down to Market Village after lunch to get whey protein and some bits for breakfast/dinner on Sunday. I went for a massage then read my book for a while before ...

... then back at the hotel I checked in, my room is really nice.. The bed is massive! Hehe I went downstairs and used the wifi for a bit before and then went to the restaurant to get dinner, considering I've been travelling for 4 months on my own, that's the first time I've sat in a restaurant on my own! We were told that although many of the children had no living parents, some had been abandoned ...

Due to poor weather, we don't see much of the waterfront, but the night market provides the most entertainment while we're here. The food on offer is excellent. There's maybe 10-15 restaurants in the market, all with their kitchens on the street. Full BBQs and frying stations setup amongst huge ...

... I went to see the Railway Station - which is quite unique - Hua Hin is the King of Thailand's summer residence, but for me, I have no desire to go back there. Having spent 2 full days there, I was happy to move on. So - would I recommend it? Not really - especially as the beach was so crowded and thin - not much option for a quiet read or swim - unless you are a really good swimmer and do not mind rough, surf-like ...
