... an ambulance with all lights flashing at the base station so not everyone gets down unscathed. Interestingly the park is open 24X7 and has lots of night time visitors despite the rocky road. At this time of year it makes sense as the temperature is a bit cooler at night and the viewing is focused on the fires.

... is a set of small bungalows, each with a porch, two hammocks, tiny living room, bed and bath. What? I mean WHAT?!? The structures were far enough apart to feel private. Fruit trees, ferns,palm trees, flowers, and tree houses made this a paradise. Why the heck did I only book two nights?! The dining area is open air, with plants, lanterns, and jazz playing all day. ... dark wood and high mildewed ceilings in the old part of town. My room was guarded by two mannequins dressed in traditional clothing. They didn't freak me out at all. ... dark for 40 minutes we arrived at the site,were given torches and told to walk up the mountain for 20 minutes. Like doing the thousand steps without the well formed steps and in the dark. When we arrived the flames, although an interesting phenomenon were a bit like sitting around campfires. Still, glad we saw it.

Received more sad news. Our beautiful pet pooch, Ziggy has passed away. The house won't be the same without her. ��

... is fairly self sufficient food wise, but then someone did say 'ie if you eat tomatoes, cucumbers and olives'. Which we do here. Every day.

And then onwards on a mountainous road right beside the sea. And into Kas, a very attractive town. Only a few navigations trying to find our hotel and we were drinking tea on the terrace.
