... it was monday, and of course museums are closed. a major storm also came in and the scaffolding in front of a construction site that i had just walked past was now blown over and flapping in the wind. lucky me for narrowly escaping death!
for the most part, the old historic part of town was pretty dead as it is the end of tourist season, but i was able to check out the harbour, Hadrian's gate, and a few other sites.
... Med, once again.
We toured the ruins, I stuck my toe into the Med, and then retreated back for a little siesta. We had a time change last night, and kinda screwed my clock up.
We plan on staying here 2 nights, then on to Kas.

accident in 1978. The car crash left the nerves completely gone in his
upper left arm. (Jennifer was a doctor, so she asked what had happened
and he told her and she told us.) The result was that all muscle had
just completely wasted away from the lifeless arm that hung at his
side. His arms together stood in a contrast like that between a polio

... The drive was amazing, particularly as we were seeing this section of the country for the first time. If you remember a previous post we basically slept all of the way in as we had been forced to stay awake for over 30 hours in order to get to Cirali with our bags intact. Great Hotel, great place, very few people and good food. Well worth the effort to get there.
Cirali, Antalya, Turkey mikeandfi... He had also met a couple of guys from Istanbul, Gökhan and Oskay, and we all hit it off quite well. We headed for the infamous 'ORANGE BAR' which was in a most incredible location!!!! This bar was a good distance from any other building in the area. There was music blaring and everyone dancing - it was quite the party. When we walked in and had a chance to look around, we noticed the surroundings a bit better. This bar was ...
Olympos, Antalya, Turkey mr-mrs_pickles... Everything in Turkey seems to be done either the day before or the day of. This also allows me to not have to make reservations for any hostels! I can just walk in when I arrive and tell them I need a bed for however many nights I need. They then respond that am able to stay until I let them know the night before I want to leave. This has made life so easy and flexible! The ...

You could just venture out into the forset and trip over excellent ruins, a photographers delight. On one night we visited the ...
