... who was responsible for the exchange students) Volkan who speaks perfect English because he went on an exchange to the US and currently goes to university in the US. We then grouped up and the 6 of us got into our bus and were on the road from Ankara to Antalya. We were to be on a bus for over 12 hours so we all had a good yarn to each other along the way, some sleep obviously mixed in there.

... we have all been well satisfied. Oh my word, and dont talk about the Turkish delight. What a delight it is!! We love it. All the shops have big platters for you to taste. Well, on that alone you can have a feast!! We are all dreading the excess weight when we fly home!!
And to our 2 birthday girls Nix and Di, hope you both had a fabulous day and that you got our email, Di
Anyway, time for our G&T's now so have to rush off!!!

Cirali, Chimaera and Olympos

... was hard enough over the very uneven rocky path. (Not much in the way of a decent photo though!) Today we wandered through the ruins of Olympos...one of many sites that go by the name! It was fabulous, close to the beach and a stream...the ruins were scattered through thick forest and in many places overgrown. Cirali is a small coastal town, but it has it's fair share of pensions, hotels and cafes. Lots of families wandering about...a great place to relax for a few ...

Olympos

... actually a really scenic drive along Southern Turkey coastline, where we got to chill out and listen to some music and see the country a bit.

Eventually the bus stops and dumps you at some restaurant on the side of the road. This doesnt look like Olympos ! Eventually found this is standard practice and you wait for (yet another) bus to take you the last 10 odd clicks into Olympos which is basically a dirt road ...
