... We tried some strange gooey desserts and had some chocolate cake! Bosco in bed, we asked Maurice to help up re order everything we did during the day and how to spell names of the places we had been and people we met. A very exhilarating day. It is a bit more tiring here because of the hot sun, but we really enjoyed our day, definitely not complainjng.think unce Maurice enjoyed it too. Oh and Miriam met her first gecko! So cute!! Sleep time now, Goodnight everyone Miriam and Clíona ...
... It was like teaching a kid to ride a push bike for the first time. We were only going comically slow so as not to cause any injuries but it was clear he had little or no control over it. He ended up at one point just dropping it on the floor standing up and staring at it- doughnut. After a few back and fourths he did seem to get the hang of it. I'm sure he'll be fine ;) We got back to the hut and had a lunch on the porch. We chilled again most of the day, lounging in the sun ...
... Still,we felt something was missing.
It wasn’t until our final day, before heading to Kerala, that we visited Calangute. Here we caught a glimpse of the local area at its best, meeting some incredibly warm and friendly people who were looking after 40 very lively kids on the beach. They were playing cricket, football and swimming about with an energy we hadn’t seen since the street markets back in Delhi. It was a shame we were moving ...
... the food and drink were cheaper so we drank some cocktails by the sea and ate some spicy Goan seafood curries. We will have to decide where to spend Christmas when we return and hope to meet up with the others. We certainly have plenty of time to think about it as we are now heading on a lengthy cross country journey to Chennai where we will hopefully watch India play cricket and then meet up with my friend Matt who is also on the east ...
... negotiations. Bex had booked the hotel online through a
company which had been closed over the holiday (India's Independance
Day) and the hotel didn't have any record of the booking. We bartered a
fair price and Munks and Andi went to check the
rooms.....score!!!!!!!! We all did the happy dance and had our first
hot shower for a very long time!
