... at all. Filipino nurses are known to be
skillful and good at their jobs, but honestly I haven’t seen a nurse even go
over to a patient’s bed yet and I’ve been there for 2 days. They seem to spend
the day writing notes and preparing meds, the families of the patients are the
ones that provide all their care and food, the nurses don’t even do dressings
which is so strange for me as I spent pretty much my whole last placement doing
dressings ...

... I just need to say how utterly
amazing it is there, if you’ve ever googled paradise that was what it was! We
were picked up by our tour guide Chris, who looked after us the whole time we
were there. All the others that worked there were amazing too, they were all so
kind, especially Vanessa, she’s probably one of the coolest women I’ve ever
met. The bus journey took 2 hours followed by a 2 hour boat ride to the
Isla de Antonia ...

... we had to check out, gather our luggage and then leave it at a reception desk, while we bypass security to find our gate. This is obviously how they do things in the Philippines. The airport didn't have much to offer so we found our gate and worked on our blog. We were then told that our flight was going to be delayed....again! This clearly was going to be one of those days.
