Nach Bangkok und Chiang Mai ging es endlich ans Meer zum Entspannen. Zuerst legten wir einen kleinen Zwischenstop auf Phuket ein bevor es für 2 Wochen nach Ko Samui ging.

I woke Darren up and tearfully told him that I needed to be in hospital now. We quickly packed up our things. I rang reception asked for help with our bags, but the guy didn't speak great English. If ever you visit samui you must pay this place a visit, however don't make the same mistake we did and try and rive it as the road ends at a certain point high up and then it becomes a dirt track, I stupidly decided to test the cars abilities by driving up it, something not to be done again! ... out to be quite a long way to our hotel so well worth it and a nice man, glad we avoided the annoying not so nice people at the ferry pier wanting twice as much!
Ben continues to fail at applying sun cream, ends up with amusing burnt patches where he couldn't reach! Had great fun climbing huge inflatable assault course floating off Chaweng beach.

... is known for being touristy so we cannot complain too much. Our resort was really nice, right on the beach with a pool, restaurant and on-site massage. Our room was massive, it has a kitchen, 3 beds and a proper bath with shower (a rare thing in Thailand, its normally a hose on the wall in a wet room that soaks everything!).
The beach was very overcrowded with resort after resort lining the beach front, sun loungers from one end to the next ...
How has this resort rated in the past?
Do not stay here if you are a business traveler looking to utilize internet on a nightly basis. Staff flat out lies to you about this service when it doesn't work.
