    Hi Everyone,

It seems we are getting in to quite the weekend routine at the center. Saturdays when I arrive the kids eagerly ask what movie is showing today, and I usually let the older ones select one from the stack I have accummulated from my Dad and Boss. They anxiously set up "movie theater" seating rows and spread out the mats on the floor to lounge on. This weekend I hooked up my little speaker to my computer, which proved to intrigue even more of ...

... applied to work with the disaster response team working in the Philippines following the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda. This ferocious typhoon hit the Philippines in November, destroying anything in its path. It does have a ocean walk that is being built and maybe someday worth more then just a ...

... we took at after a little haggling and decided that the following day we would just move on up the coast to Catbalogan and not bother with the islands... So we were up early and waiting outside the resort for a van or bus to pass which would take us back to Tacloban and then we could get a bus or van on to Catbalogan. Nothing came past. We waited for an hour before deciding to walk, with full packs once again, ...

... city of Catbalogan. Catbalogan was 2 hours past Calbayog. The lonely planet book says the roads between the two cities are hell, but they must have been updated because they were not so bad. The vans ran quite smooth and were a lot better than buses. The cities and villages we passed today are still ****** and old, but the island itself is better than where we were previously in South East Luzon. It's a bit more tropical. More palms trees. The weather is getting ...
