Nice felt a little like it is waiting to be sold, which I think it is....would rather stay at Hamanasi.

          BEAUTIFUL beach and good service.

Waving goodbye to Caye Caulker we were headed for Hopkins, further South along the coast. We had a good travel day, taking a boat, bus and hitching a ride the 6 miles from the main road to Hopkins village, taking a total of 6 hours. We fell in love with Hopkins instantly, a Garifuna village with a very laid back, caribbean vibe. We were staying in a hostel called funky dodo which was in the heart of the village, a short walk to the beach. We had a wooden shack for the three of ...

I thought for a bit that it was broken but still did not panic. I have traveler's insurance. I can fix this. Disinfected and all wrapped up I said goodbye and got on my bus. The Belize Zoo was spectacular. The highlight of that pit stop was the howler monkeys! We are not your average travellers and prefer to do our own thing, but every now and again we benefit from some other groups guide. This particular situation afforded us an ...
