... in Michigan, drove through the upper part of Wisconsin and finished up in Bemidji, Minnesota. We finally said goodbye to Lake Superior having driven all of its 400 mile length. We found a perfect spot at a KOA here...we pulled in and were set up in less than 10 minutes including 50 cable channels. Watching golf and drinking local beer. Life is good. Love to all...Good Night.

... our favorite shops include: Tiger Lily's, Lundrigan's, Jenny & Company, and Christmas Point.

We shopped, enjoyed some lunch at the Village Square Cafe, and then shopped some more. Tom biked down, met us for lunch, and shopped for awhile with me before biking back to Cass Lake.

We spent a cool, lazy evening around the cabin, reading and playing games.

We normally see blue skies, big puffy white clouds, or thick heavy storm clouds. This haze is really unusual, making the sunset look like an orange ball in the sky, and the moon a dark red.  Tom, Seth & I decided to ...

... of what is known locally as the "Upper Peninsula". It is a major port known primarily for shipping iron ore. It also gets over 148" of snow on average - according to Wikipedia the third snowiest city in the U.S. (not including Alaska). Marquette was also listed as one of the 10 best places to retire in the U.S. by Money Watch. I vote for that!
An interesting history: like most of the towns and cities in early ...
