... awake which was good cause we had a busy afternoon ahead of us! So I got out into the hoop house and started getting rid of the remaining bok choy and womboks. The ones that weren't good went to the chickens and the other ones got washed and put into the cooler for vegetable boxes and for us to eat too! I also harvested some scallions for the vegetable boxes. In total I harvested 240 scallions - 120 white and 120 purple! They ...

... deliveries and that took a good 45 minutes... Once we sent Deb off on her way I went and did the chicken chores! Water filling, giving them some scraps, and then collecting the eggs! Because I didn't collect any yesterday, in total there were 30 eggs! Yeah! Go girls!! Lay them eggs!! :) I never get bored of watching them run up to me when I have food to give them. Met some of the dairy cows, then got to see where they got milked and how it was transferred to the different parts of the barn and then got to pet some of the baby calves! Nawwww they were adorable! And we also saw some cats and kittens who had been born quite recently I think... They were TINY! And oh so cute! They are small enough to slide into a pocket of your sweater! Our last stop was getting to look at the milk that had been milked the day before or just ...

... but that was intense! I then did the chicken chores and then later on in the evening Jim weed whacked the rows where we had flagged so he wouldn't run over the asparagus and rhubarb and then we went through the rows and picked up as much of the torn up weeds as possible. That was another grizzly task but as always, hard work pays off and it was really rewarding to see the difference! It looks so ...

... anything... Not to mention we had all woken up early and were tired from that! Late afternoon Jim, Sarah and I went to look and survey through the apple orchards again! Most of the trees are doing really well! We are always checking for bugs and caterpillars which seriously devour the entire tree if you're not careful! I did the chicken chores shortly afterwards as well... I love it and I love the chickies!!! They're such curious animals but will only come ...
