... ever - we did just happen to catch the correct bus, a chance occurrence saving ourselves $40.
It sounds kind of silly, but the aggregation of these events created the most perfect reunion for Nate and I.
Since then, we've been spending our time exploring and adventuring everything this country has to offer. I'll be sure to keep you posted on what we're up to next!
... it was – as well as looking into but avoiding the
fancy and expensive bars, restaurants and club. We did however, treat
ourselves to a cocktail; the moment Paul had been waiting for, a
Singapore Sling! Born in the Raffles hotel, we had looked in to
getting one there but having read negative reviews about it being a
big tourist trap (more expensive then any where else, rude staff and
the use of a pre-made mix to meet the demand) we decided to wait
... and lasers creating lightening on a fan of water. The middle part of the show was about Asian culture? I really have no idea. There were a bunch of baby Asian pictures, then Asian toddlers and finally Asian children running a race. I didn't get it. The show ended with Louis Armstrong's song "What a Wonderful World". We might go back tomorrow night to see it again.

... hier um die 3 Dollar, bezahlbares Essen ist eigentlich nur in sogenannten HawkerCenters möglich, die Stadt ist übersät mit Verbotsschildern - eigentlich ist nur atmen erlaubt - haha - für alles gibt es ein Verbot und die Geldstrafen dafür sind sehr hoch, zB. 500S$ für essen und trinken in der Bahn.

the last 4 days we spent in Singapore and got to know more about the city, its culture and people. ...
We had free flowing mojitos. Also had champagne. Met Rafaella and her friends. Plus we managed to get into Ku De Ta at Marina Bay Sands. There are some spectacular views from here. We went to four different bars tonight. Got a tad merry. Didn't get home until 1am. Need to be up at 6am for our trip to Vietnam tomorrow.
