We are in bed, leaving at 2:30 AM!! Flying from Fort Myers to Newark, then on to Duesseldorf on Lufthansa. Packing was a nightmare given that the weather will be all over the place. Still doesn't feel real. We are really looking forward to our adventure! (And hope the Lightning win the Stanley Cup!) Sitting in airport in Fort Myers. Got here early but that's ...

The staff welcomed us and we got a double bed in a 14 bed dorm room. This was to be Courtney's first experience living in a dorm. The good thing was that we could both share a bed. We were given the top bunk. I noticed that the mattress on the bottom was way more comfortable so I switched the two out. We had made it on time for free breakfast so we ...

... bizarre fellow you couldn't wish to meet after a 5 hour journey into Miami. We'd not even been handed our room key yet when he switched the conversation to why he won't buy recycled toilet paper (clogs his pipes apparently). You couldn't get out of the hotel without passing reception, so what was left of the night was taken up by a game of 'avoid the receptionist' while going in or out. Actually, I'm probably being a bit mean to him to be honest, as he was ...
