The food was nothing spectacular, but holy smokes, the resort is unbelievable! Absolutely gorgeous, in a breathtaking setting obviously, but also designed and decorated like I've never seen. Definitely worth a visit, would love to stay here at some point!

Highlights: 1) Lunch at the Intercontinental - holy smokes! 2) Overnight at the Hyatt in Da Nang Today we drove up the coast, past Da Nang, to Monkey Mountain, the home of the Intercontinental Resort. What an unbelievable place! We went only for lunch. and heard that rooms range from $350 to $6000 per night. Lunch is plenty for me, thank you! The …

... big day in Sanya. Today it is cooler, 21degrees and the seas are a little heavier. We don't feel it in the middle where we have our cabin, but felt the vibration when we walked to the front of the ship after breakfast. A relaxing day today. A classical concert this afternoon and a movie before dinner! Finished the day with another delicious dinner and music in the ...

... some extra research into tomorrows long journey and decided to stop at the bus station on the way home to see if we could find a shortcut. There is a ridiculous shortage of taxis in this city, in India they were begging you to get in, here they really aren't bothered. Fnally we arrived at the station to find that no one spoke english, a sweet girl in the queue tried to help as best she could and explained there were no buses to guilin from here. so back to plan a. Yet more trouble ...

... no reason), ladies staring at the sea and then move their arms and a guy who was pretending he wasn't following and filming us, when he obviously was! Lol! We had a walk down the bay and saw some typical Chinese fishing boots being pulled up to the beach. You could also see little crab holes in the sand, little crabs sprinted in and out of them! At nearly the end of the bay there was a clothes stall, with a rail in the middle of the beach, quite ...

... juices, which were very tasty! Some soy beans as a snack and we were sorted. Only thing was that the beans were cold.. With some hand expressions we got them to heat them up for us, nice one! We think think there was a party going on when we got there, as the people at the other tables kept swapping places with each other and all wanted attention from this (about) 1 year old child that was there with them. The guys thought they were really ...
