We were here for a pre-cruise stay. Other than mosquitoes, it was great. Beautiful, well maintained property. At the prices, though, it wouldn't hurt to include internet for everybody.

    ... eventually.

The last ferry leaves Moorea at 5pm and our flight is at 120am, so I got a room at a hotel near the ferry for the night. The ferry was quick but the bags were a pain to carry to the hotel so we got a taxi to take us. That was a rip off for $15 to take us 2 blocks, but we weren't going to push them all. We had a shuttle take us to the airport around midnight and it was a quick check-in. They ...

... 15 black tip sharks around us. Almost all of them were bigger than Ariana. I almost shake when I am writing about it. We call John and Elena and they jump in quickly too. We spend quite a lot of time filming, taking pictures, mainly of the sharks and trying not to step on any of these huge stingrays. We see one shark getting quite close to John but it turns around very fast. Scary.

... ll take from Papeete, Tahiti to Moorea, and then from the pier there to the Hilton Moorea hotel. The ferry was brand new, and took about 40 minutes to cross the 11 mile wide channel between the islands. You can see Moorea easily from Papeete. We could have managed the transfer ourselves, but it was a lot less stressful this way! While waiting for our guide to show up in Papeete, we talked to a fellow named Hiro who sold us a snorkeling tour for tomorrow in ...

... regular schedule. Keith managed to get into one dive he hadn’t been planning on doing in Bora Bora. We ate our first dinner in the main dining room, L’Etoile. It is open seating and we sat at a table for 8. I had a rib eye, which I couldn’t finish. After dinner was a Welcome aboard party by the pool. The dance band is okay. They play well, but their singing isn’t the greatest. We will try them at a later time and see how they ...
