We were here for a pre-cruise stay. Other than mosquitoes, it was great. Beautiful, well maintained property. At the prices, though, it wouldn't hurt to include internet for everybody.

After our long journey to the island, we settled in yesterday, enjoyed our private deck with amazing views, turquoise clear water, and some tropical fish circling our feet, we ventured around the resort, laid out in the sun, and met new friends in the pool bar. Even though we traveled 8,000 miles, one of the first couples we met lives only 30 …

... net to stay shut during the night so we adapted and used pegs. We'd both been bitten the previous evening so fingers crossed not tonight. I'm up to about 30 swollen bites so I'm really hoping for no more. I'm just covered in red swollen circles. I cannot wait to not be bitten when back home. Friday Well where do I start. We've had the airport shuttle not turn up for us. We've had the place we booked resemble more of a building site We've had the experience on the local bus ...

... a much needed “potty” stop. Further down the mountain we stopped for a photo shoot at a pineapple field that had been purposely neglected to discourage “pineapple poachers”.

The rest of the “Circle Island Tour” consisted of more island culture and sometime bumpy roads, island resort hotels, a defunct “Club Med” property and such. We definitely received value for our dollar.

... the hotel. The hotel is under some kind of construction. Interestingly there was wide duct tape over the shingles on the roof . We had resesrved our room a day early, so it was ready when we got here, thank goodness. I was still very tired from the Ambien and went to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. We woke up in the afternoon and decided to go for a walk. The grounds ...
