We were here for a pre-cruise stay. Other than mosquitoes, it was great. Beautiful, well maintained property. At the prices, though, it wouldn't hurt to include internet for everybody.

After our long journey to the island, we settled in yesterday, enjoyed our private deck with amazing views, turquoise clear water, and some tropical fish circling our feet, we ventured around the resort, laid out in the sun, and met new friends in the pool bar. Even though we traveled 8,000 miles, one of the first couples we met lives only 30 …

... out to the sand bar. Again we were quite lucky - this instance it was our timing! We had managed to (slowly but surely!) make it to the sand bar at a time when there weren't many people, as a tour had just come through, but there were still a lot of sting rays and black tips hanging around. This area is a notorious tourist trap where people pay a ton of money to get boated out to swim with 'friendly' rays and sharks. They manage this ...

... br> And then the highlight of my day was at 7:30pm. I FINALLY GOT A MASSAGE AT THE
SPA! Oh my goodness was it amazing. I
had a 75 minute deep tissue massage from a girl from Poland. It was incredible.
Massages are one of my all-time favorite things so that just made my day, my
month, until I get another one! I get 40% off which really helped as well.
After that I used their steam room and took a shower and then had one more hour

      ... than actually swimming.

We were welcomed onto the boat with the customary singing and dancing spectacular. I had been sitting in the lounge enjoying a cup of 24-hour-a-day-available coffee (another plus!) when a be-boned and beaded male dancer came in to check himself in the mirror before the show. What a spectacle he was in himself! Tattooed almost from head to toe and the only thing I know to be Broader is in Norfolk. He left the mirror and ...

... Tahiti does not actually have beaches except for one small black sand beach that you have to drive too. It's the other islands and atolls of French Polynesia that hold the amazing crystal clear beaches and we were the only travellers planning to stay in Tahiti! So we stocked up on $5 corn on the cob (that we ended up throwing away as it was terrible) and paid a small amount in gold to buy four containers of fruit ( which due to our lack of French turned out to be ...
