We were here for a pre-cruise stay. Other than mosquitoes, it was great. Beautiful, well maintained property. At the prices, though, it wouldn't hurt to include internet for everybody.

After our long journey to the island, we settled in yesterday, enjoyed our private deck with amazing views, turquoise clear water, and some tropical fish circling our feet, we ventured around the resort, laid out in the sun, and met new friends in the pool bar. Even though we traveled 8,000 miles, one of the first couples we met lives only 30 …

... astounded to find that I had 10 000 francs all in thousand franc bills, and an extra 500 franc bill to top it off. I have no idea who exchanged my money for me, or how I came back with more than I left but it felt like a win to me.

Anyways I have more to talk about but I'll try and get another blog shortly. I'm going to a nearby island for a couple days, then flying from Tahiti to Sumatra, Indonesia for a surfing holiday with Greg which I'm stoked for!

... quite a change; not only because of the location, but because of this wonderful family we got to spend time with. I must say it was very nice going back to a toddler’s life schedule! (Early wake up, play time, four hour nap, play time, dinner, bed) It was very fun going for walks and attempting to communicate by using our iPad’s translator app (and failing quite a bit I might add) with the little ones. We even had Olina (the 1 year old) nearly walking! When ...

... special". While we waited we watched the dolphins swimming around the area of the lagoon which has been fenced off for them. There were many colourful little fish there also. They were the types of fish you see in tropical aquariums in the UK. The trainer told us that they feed the dolphins so well that the little fish can live there without getting eaten by the dolphins. The centre has three bottle nosed dolphins, a female of 36 years which is retired from the US Navy ...

... It was amazing and freaky in equal measures being in the water with so many sharks and so many stingrays. And from what I could see all of those rays still had their barbs (this comment will make more sense after you’ve read the Bora Bora post). The shrieks of terror from a couple of the women in the water was hilarious.

Then we headed for their motu where the bbq had been set up. The open bar wasn’t as open as I thought ...
