We were here for a pre-cruise stay. Other than mosquitoes, it was great. Beautiful, well maintained property. At the prices, though, it wouldn't hurt to include internet for everybody.

After our long journey to the island, we settled in yesterday, enjoyed our private deck with amazing views, turquoise clear water, and some tropical fish circling our feet, we ventured around the resort, laid out in the sun, and met new friends in the pool bar. Even though we traveled 8,000 miles, one of the first couples we met lives only 30 …

After even more rain on the way to the airport we started our journey to Tahiti. Half way in to the four hour flight we reached the Date Line and moved back 22 hours, which actually means that we have experienced 31 August and 1 September twice - Ground Hog Double Day! Disappointed that the pilot did not announce it though. We stayed only one night in Tahiti which seems like a working island with very few beaches and is a stop over for connections ...

... California. They told me that they had been planning on getting married in the Marquesas but weren’t holding out much hope because communication had been dropped by the Mayors on the islands. I’d met them beachcombing on the first day and we spent most evenings together laughing at Steve’s white feet and admiring the every-other-daily gift Steve gave Dolores.

They have an old fashioned Polaroid camera and we wandered around the ...

Hayley here. When you think of Tahiti, you probably think of white sand , turquoise water and hot temperatures. What we now think of when Tahiti comes to mind is roosters that crow constantly every 5 minutes , $8 broccoli and rundown streets and houses. When we arrived for four days in Papeete the temperature was 37 degrees and high humidity. Even standing under a cool shower you could feel yourself sweating. So naturally we planned to swim 24/7 until we found out that the ...
