    ... ended up staying at the shelter with another hiker who's been going about the same pace we have, Seeker). This was both a great and a terrible idea. When we finished, we were so glad we didn't have to do it the next day, but it was probably too early to be doing so many miles and our legs were really tired.

    ... was both a great hike and pretty punishing. The day dawned clear and nice, which made for nice hiking, but it did get warmer, especially on the most challenging part: Blood Mountain.
