    All week the crew had been telling us that Cozumel is their favourite port so we were really looking forward to it. When we landed we ran the gauntlet of the usual touts and touristy souvenir shops that every port seems to have. We decided to hire a jeep for the day to tour the island.     ... and then we went to La Peņita de Jaltemba to have lunch, they had a delicious tiradito de atun and a great chicharron de calamar.

    On our way back we stop by Mamitas Beach Club to check how it is and we had Coconut water and Coconut. Back at the condo we went to the beach for a while to relax and then back to get showers and ready for our birthday dinner celebration with Sabrina at the Club Sushi.

    ... fabulous having Andrea (with her extra hands) along with us. Such a huge help. We splurged for a horseback ride through the woods and on the beach. A bit cheesy, but super fun. They gave me a slow horse who just followed the path, which was great. Mel was happy they didn't look half dead. Time to head back to the ship. When we wake up we'll be in Belize. Ciao.     ... and snorkel in Two of the holes and walked through a cave at the third location.

    After a quick snack we jumped back in the van and went to Akumel Bay to swim with the turtles. We saw several turtles and enjoyed the sunny afternoon. Unfortunately this is an extremely popular sight and the waters were pretty murky so it was hard to see any distance.
