... lunch with them, discussed travel itineraries over coffee and lunch. I learned where to go, what to see, what to avoid, how to circumvent all the gawking tourists on organized tours, how to cleverly evade being ripped off in Ho Chi Minh City, where to eat street food in Hanoi, when to visit Halong Bay for the best weather. I had researched this trip more than any other vacation I have taken in the last 10 years. If only I had put as much effort into planning the Sub-Saharan ...
... at Stonehenge and the current was too much, so we dived Talang instead. The vis was pretty bad, but we did see a seahorse (Luke easier than me... it took me 3 goes to see it), a catfish and a couple of lion fish.
Second dive was at Koh Taru and one of the divers couldn't get down as she was also just getting over a cold, so the three of us waiting on the bottom had a chance to look around, we saw lionfish and the weirdist sea cucumber I have ...

... There was a small sand bank, our own private island! We are in absolute paradise, clear water, fish swimming around us, bright blue sky (an image dreams are made of). A short photo shoot! We set off to the next island, Koh Usen! A tough kayak across the water we finally arrived around the island and almost taken into what looked like a whirlpool. A beautiful sunset on the beach to end our time in Koh Lipe!
