... much better and we head out to the Paradise Pub for some cheeseburgers where I understand that they add cheese to the meat before cooking for the extra yummy fat. Burgers were very good but no time to waste, we have a trip to make.

Now comes the part that explains why "Gomorrah" is in the today's title. Four of us (Paul C. decides to stay behind) head off 90 miles down to ...
Key West, Florida, United States rjdemp... by but there are a series of buses than run and Sol knew the routes so i followed him and he took us straight to the hostel which was about 4 blocks back from the ocean. It was a similar heat to Miami, about 92F and not a cloud in the sky. I dropped my bag off and went exploring, Sol went off to buy some leather for his masks and Tom went to try and find somewhere to live & get a job at the harbour. When i checked in i was given a map of the island so headed for the coast ...
Key West, Florida, United States edwardallin... plenty of pictures to prove it. We ended up hanging out with Cory after the cruise at a few different bars. We all had quite a bit to drink, and didn't have to pay for any of it. It definitely paid to hang out with him for the night. All and All we had a GREAT day!

Today we got to sleep in enjoy some breakfast before we left the beautiful keys. It was a sad day! We would all go back there any day of the week.

Till next time,

Jess, Nic, and Michelle

Key West, Florida, United States nicandjessica... and Bahamians have settled. It was beautiful with lushly vegetated streets and a patchwork of faded wooded houses (old cigar-makers cottages). Many locals were sitting out on their front porches and they wished us good day as we passed.

We finally reached our destination, but despite being told by our hotel that it was free, we had to pay $5.00 to access the beach (only $7.00 for two passengers and a car, doh!). The beach was ...
Key West, Florida, United States jimandlaura... in 1956 by a Sardinian fisherman, Milton Santini, who lived in the Keys. Whilst fishing one day an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin got caught up in his nets and he decided to rescue it. The dolphin, Mitzi, later went on to become the original 'Flipper'. Over the next few decades the centre changed hands a number of times, until finally becoming the DRC, a non-profit organisation, in 1983. There are 19 dolphins in total at the centre, some that have been rescued and some that were ...

Key West, Florida, United States stvoontourWell I am really tired from another long long day of driving and sun. I went to the keys today. I wasn't particularly impressed by Key Largo or Key West although I liked Key West a lot more because it's bigger but still easy to navigate. Duval Street is worth checking out. Sure it's touristy but there are some cute shops. Besides, I don't mind touristy so much. I ...
Key West, Florida, United States bashleyf... sat on their shoulder as they danced in front of the band. Not only did the bird seem to enjoy it, but it fluffed its head feathers regularly. Sue and I almost fell out of out seats. This is so Key West. Another great bar was the Green Parrot. This is an old bar. I mean a really old bar....like 1890 or so. Sue liked to call it the Dusty Parrot as the place surely had not been cleaned sine the built the place. We were glad ...
Key west, Florida, United States gknopp... held a few, but Kate wasn't too keen. We saw 2 shallow open pools - one had stingray and a big turtle, the other had about 20 nurse sharks of differing sizes. The two staff members taking the tour fed the stingray (who splashed their wings quite a bit as they rose out of the water to get their fish) and then fed the sharks. They then caught a small shark each with a net and held him so that we could have an opportunity to touch his ...
Key West, Florida, United States alvrezTook our first family vacation in a long time with the folks and little brother to Key West, Florida during Christmas break just now. It was December and 80 degrees or so outside..so beautiful really. but wow, the economic disparity between the way I spend money and my parents spend money is startling. Hopefully I will never make any money. THat way I will never be able to trick myself into thinking that it's necessary to have so much. So summary ...
