Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia empaul_asia09... us plan our journey... we couldn't get direct to Penang that night so had to get a bus to a place called Alor Star......
First, we had to wait in Jerteh for about 5 hours! So we went to the local KFC, had food, went to find a bar or internet - couldn't find either open (damn ramadan!!) and it was raining too far to walk anywhere else so we stayed in KFC drinking coffee as long as we could before we had to get our bags out of the left luggage in the bus station....
So sat ...
Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia heledd... life where we drank tasty and colourful Beach Coladas and kept our new South African friend company!!

The next two days we exhausted our poor and explored the city that shows a variety of buildings and districts... and soon found ourselves being offered food after "praying" at one of the largest Sikh temples in South East Asia... after which we were asked to write down our feelings!!! But apart ...

Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia annenajasI woke up and after going on the internet for a minute to look up everything I should do and plan out my day, I was out the door. Of course, I had to get my Coffee Bean drink. It was too exciting to have these places available to me here (but it would eventually be something that I would over-do while I was there, leaving not wanting to ever drink one of those drinks again in my life haha!). I first headed to the Petronas Tower. Actually, I told the taxi driver to take me ...
Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia snclark8... film was that I got a free lunch from the incident and a great story, but it did prove my previous thinking of never trust an Asian in Asia. This sounds like an awful statement, but there are con-artists on every corner in every city in every country, who I've been meeting and walking away from on a daily basis for the last three months. Later that evening, I went for a walk to the little India / China town area, but it rained heavily as soon as I got ...
Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia eddiemetal... Our hotel, the Chinatown Inn, is quite nice. A slightly larger room, with the same type of combo w/c and shower. The walls are paper thin. When it's quite you can hear the hum of the motor for the elevator and that's down the hall.

The main Chinatown market is right outside the door of the hotel. KL hosts some of the best bootlegs we've seen so far. The "copy" watches are very nicely done as are the assorted other knock-offs. And it's all very inexpensive ...
