... and everyone there. On my last day Jon held an appreciation circle for me where everyone sat down and said something that they were appreciative of, then something that they appreciated about me. I'm not very good at taking compliments but it was so beautiful to hear how I had made an impression of everyones lives at the farm. The most memorable was that I could take absolute pleasure in the little things, like shoveling ****. It was something I hadn't heard before and made me ...

First coming into the canyon the walls were wide and tall, completely made out of sandstone. It looked smooth, but was actually rough to the touch, almost like sandpaper. On Digger's last day we drove up through the high country north of Jefferson up over Georgia Pass (11,585ft on the Continental Divide) in his 'Lincoln Navigator' hire car - he had to change from his BMW 740 after the sunroof exploded!!!!. Test fired a few weapons......
Very pristine environment above the tree line. Not a good place to be in the middle of winter.....
Beautiful views and the Aspen trees just beginning to change colour as winter approaches....

... to others, for there were some 50-60 cars already parked nearby the trail head.

The ascent from trail head to the peak was around 3300 feet, with the climb being 3mi long. We started at an altitude of 10937 feet. First half mile was pretty steep and it made us skeptical as to how the rest of the climb was going to be. The trail quickly flattened out after ...
