It was such magical time this Thanksgiving. From romping in the hot tub in the 15 degree snowing weather to sledding and snowboarding to walking down Main Street which reminds the kids of their grandparents little Christmas houses- this was a trip I will always remember. It started as a "what if we did this"moment as we tried to plan ...

one of those pockets of terra incognita in my Colorado travels. Someday I’ll
make it up the dirt road from Vail to Piney Lake in that area.

... a nice one and doable in several hours in the afternoon. Mother Nature
had different plans, though. The mountains had their first light snowfall the
night before. We several miles along the Spruce Creek trail south of
Breckenridge but found the trail to be far too icy to continue once we started
on steeper slopes in shady areas. It was good a walk of several miles to stretch

In a Quandary: Should I climb or not?

The great divide or continental divide is a mountainous divide in the American continents. It separates the water bodies that drain into The Pacific from those that drain into The Atlantic. It consists of two main mountain ranges, Andes in South America and Rockies in North
America. The continental divide happens to pass through Colorado as well, making the central and ...
