    ... to the station. The park is across a lake from the downtown section of Nanjing, so you could get a great view of the city. In the park people were rollerblading and flying kites with blinking lights on them.

    Our train didn't leave until 10 pm - because my colleague had to teach a class until 5. We decided to take the slow train and sleep the whole way to Beijing and arrive rested early Sat morning.

They told us it was white wine - called bijou sp? - but it was more like a hard liquor. I suspect that it was made from rice. We also had some Chinese beer and red wine.
