... of traffic travelling well beyond our comfort level. The regular need for washroom stops, more cold water and even gas for our thirsty truck, force us to backtrack more than once before we make our way safely to the Coachella Valley and our new home in Palm Springs. Enjoy the photos (although not necessarily all taken on this route). More from PS in the next ...

... s not the way it works. I even played the age card - to no avail. Finally they called him in and did blood pressure and temperature, and asked for a urine sample. We were then sent back out into the waiting room to await his turn to see the doctor.

When they called him in, they didn't let me go with him. They have a security guard in the ER waiting room and you need to get a "badge" from him in order to gain access to the inner sanctum. The ...

... but everyone stuck it out in the name of good music. The highlights of the final day were 'James Blake', 'Vampire weekend' and 'Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds'. 'Nick Cave' was especially good with his intense stage presence and dark lyrics really grabbing the crowds attention. It got quite cold at night and the dust and wind was unbelievable. We ended up leaving a bit before the end of closing headliners 'Red hot chilli peppers' set. We weren't too fazed though as they ...

To create a festive atmosphere around our motor coach, we set up a few decorations. There are 6 small spruce trees with fiber optic lights, two big bows on a palm tree, two lit up bows on the mirrors, a flickering mesh draped over our Canada umbrella covering the picnic table and a dash full of lights, presents and fake snow fabric.
The residents of the park had their annual Christmas parade to collect gifts for under-privileged children and ...

    Fab find!

Large, clean and interesting hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

The rooms are clean, large and really comfortable. The hotel is in a great location for downtown SP, only a two minute walk to shops, restaurants etc.

The hotel has a great full sun pool and hot tub that is often from 8am until very late, they light a fire pit for the evening.
Drinks are not too expensive, the best breakfast seems a little pricey...$18 for eggs Benedict! We went to a diner for breaking!

Resort fees are $45 per night...this includes valet parking, gym, water and pool usage. This is more expensive than LA an, San Fran and Las Vegas.

Would recommend based on location and room price.
