Hello LA circa 1950's!

After six hours and 400 miles we made it to Palm Springs! This place has been highly recommended to us by many people. I didn't really know what to expect, the guide books say "its an experience of the perfect blend of outdoor entertainment and casual relaxation"!! I totally agree, well done Lonely Planet. A few days in this interesting city is …

Palm Springs Weekend

Day 1

Ted was feeling queasy after last night's combination of alcohol and nacho cheese so we didn't do anything too crazy today. Also, we had our flight later on to Palm Springs. After breakfast, we packed up our things and loaded up the car before heading out with the boys.

Rise and shine to a foggy morning in Coronado Bay.............but we were not around for long! We had breakfast and piled our huge pile of bags into the 2 cars and we were off...............road trip to Palm Springs. The Freeway's in the US are fantastic..........especially when you have a GPS!!! And the Carpool Lanes, well they have to be one of …

    Fab find!

Large, clean and interesting hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

The rooms are clean, large and really comfortable. The hotel is in a great location for downtown SP, only a two minute walk to shops, restaurants etc.

The hotel has a great full sun pool and hot tub that is often from 8am until very late, they light a fire pit for the evening.
Drinks are not too expensive, the best breakfast seems a little pricey...$18 for eggs Benedict! We went to a diner for breaking!

Resort fees are $45 per night...this includes valet parking, gym, water and pool usage. This is more expensive than LA an, San Fran and Las Vegas.

Would recommend based on location and room price.
