        ... What skillful seamanship we observed – a perfect “10” passage. Bravo Zulu Captain Sybe de Boer and crew, Bravo Zulu!!!

        After a leisurely breakfast, we boarded the next convenient tender (it’s so nice to be 4 **** Mariners and have tender privileges – no lines or tickets required)

        Onwards to Rangiroa!

        After a wonderful but much too brief stop in the Marquesas we departed Nuku Hiva at 2200 on the 10th April. We had achieved much whilst there; getting an ugly but effective repair made to the Gennaker, researching and booking a Marina Berth in Tahiti, organising and booking a few repair and maintenance service calls also for Tahiti, resupplying the Pantry, refuelling and getting the LPG tanks refilled.

        Today we anchored at Ragiroa, another atoll in the Tuomotu group of islands. We got up at 6, just about the time our ship sailed through the Tiputa pass into the big lagoon. This is one of the largest lagoons in the world.

        We met the Warrens around 8:15 and got on shore around 8:30. Ira had made the arrangement with Rangiroa Paradive for the snorkeling tour and we went with them. Originally the snorkeling tour included drift snorkeling through the ...
