... up, this little trick worked like a charm, but I hadn’t washed the soap out properly the day before and with me already being allergic to liquid soap on a good day, had a rash on both sides of my nose. Not the brightest thing I’ve ever done. Edd washed the soap out of his mask and we proceeded to wade out into the unknown.

... haul our jugs up to the station – paying them 1 RM each for their troubles. Strangely, when the jugs were full again they were not so interested in helping to lug them back down to our dinghy! We also found a store called ‘Bundle’ which was very interesting. They basically get donated clothes from the US and Canada (many Canadian T-Shirts, I picked up a Terry Fox Run one!) and resell them over here. ... me a present. It was a beautiful hand filed shell necklace which he had fished out of the sea and made for me earlier on. It is beautiful - and it's these little touches where going off the beaten track makes memorable and lasting memories and shows the kindness of the locals when they are not driven by making money and business with foreign tourists.

Next stop - Perhentian Kecil.
