    ... makes us feel comfortable in our learning. It's interesting to learn some of the similarities between Spanish and French, but of course there are many more differences than similarities. The grammar in Spanish seems very intimidating as beginners with numerous rules and exceptions to learn. Hopefully we will be able to communicate with basic conversations while we are here.

    We awoke today in our new hotel. It is heavenly. The restaurant is nice too and this morning I enjoyed a classic Costa Rican breakfast. After a slow start to our morning, we headed over to see Rodrigo. He had invited us to go for lunch but had to change plans when a lesson was booked.     ... school danced for us. It was very entertaining. Then one of the boys put on a bulls head made from Papier Maché, and audience members were invited to get up and hold a red handkerchief for the bull to charge at.

The path builders would then descend on the housekeepers, who had our meals prepared and quickly announced the menu for lunch.
