... way back to the room, and freshened up. After I freshened up, I was getting pretty hungry so we decided to drive into Jaco to grab some dinner.

By the time we began driving to Jaco, the rain stopped and the weather felt great outside, so we drove to Jaco with the windows down. ... upside down, orange in colour and the flesh is sweet and juicy. The lone nut on top has to be put in the oven to soften the casing and will open to get the nut from inside. We had never seen this before.
Upon our return to the ship we stayed in town to have some lunch and then wander through all the craft markets. It was so hot and uncomfortable that we didn't stay out too long.
This is a place we would like to visit again especially the Atlantic ...

... abandoned resort atop a mountain in Jaco. It seemed like it would have been beautiful at its prime for it had a beautiful view overlooking the ocean, but is now abandoned with graffitis throughout. I'm thankful I ended up bonding with Brooke (aka Brooklyn) last night in Go Fish, cause she ended up being my model for some of the better shots I took today. Again, taking photos of humans is probably more my liking in photography than abstract.

... used to and is so juxtaposed to how friendly everyone is here.

Although there is little violent crime in Costa Rica (much less per capita than the U.S.), there is some crime of poverty, pickpockets, etc. Not surprising when you think that a stolen phone might feed one's family for a week or month.

I do like it here and could see ourselves coming back again notwithstanding there being so many places in the world I'd love to ...

... Fair trade: a buzz word we're all aware of, but not necessarily what it means for those involved at a grassroots level. You'd think it meant better living conditions, pay, quality of life, stability, right? i know i did, until about 48 hours ago. But that's assuming fair trade is a black and white exchange.
