... wedding opportunity arose. Great time, but it will be good to get back to little old safe Adelaide again. With the fares now cheaper than 25 years ago, "short" three week trips overseas seem to appeal to me more now. I like this blog system too, where before I have had books of small writing on previous trips, filled with stuck in placemats and ticket stubs, and photos on slides that are now heaven knows where, faded prints in non acid ...
... got room keys & headed out to explore town.
Though the basilica, the ceiling was damaged in a 1997 earthquake, which killed 3 priests, the brown robes mean a senior friar following St Francis law, the grey robes mean junior friar, & the rules are not as strict. A most enjoyable family wedding, set to be repeated in Perth after ...
We have started a system of packing our bags and leaving them in the lobby before breakfast as the lifts are so busy afterwards. This worked well yesterday so we did it again today. We liked the Northern Europe breakfasts much better. Not really able to take any food for lunch but we did take quite a few cakes ...
... up and in he corner, that had a great view of the lake from our balcony and a great view of the town from our bathroom window. It was dark by the time we walked around Passignano, so we went to the old part of town and found a nice restaurant that served great seafood. During our trip to Italy, the restaurants have always supplied excellent tasting food and good wine. The Italians love their food and drink, it shows in the quality of the restaurants at reasonable prices.
