    ... me start at the beginning. It's the run up to Christmas. And before I forget, can I wish every one a very Happy, Healthy, and prosperous New Year.     ... received the invitation to join them all early one morning.
    Apparently the governor was also going to be there, so not to miss an opportunity, polished up our shoes and got out the glad rags. The location was the ancient (well relatively speaking old for here) Fort Amsterdam. One of the original fortifications built by the Dutch to defend the island a few hundred years ago. Now however, very little of the original structure still remains

    I am not sure how much, or any of the pirate night festivities Min and I will see. It'll depend on how we feel when all the "fun" starts. We're not planning to eat with our usual happy campers, and may just eat at Cabanas and then sneak away to somewhere quiet and unpiratey.
