Apparently the governor was also going to be there, so not to miss an opportunity, polished up our shoes and got out the glad rags. The location was the ancient (well relatively speaking old for here) Fort Amsterdam. One of the original fortifications built by the Dutch to defend the island a few hundred years ago. ... in St. Louis late tonight and make a Whole Foods / REI run tomorrow before driving back to Branson. We owe a HUGE THANK YOU to Fred and Jill for inspiring this trip and taking us sailing. It will definitely make the list of all-time most memorable vacations and we had such a great time with them.
