But viewing Neuschwanstein from Mary's Bridge, suspended above the castle, has been the highlight of this trip so far. It was definitely worth a 2-hour train ride and an hour's worth of hiking to see this modern wonder.

... the aforementioned bankruptcy, the castle is beautiful, and is perhaps the best-preserved of all of Ludwig's castles since he lived there only 10 days in total.
Leaving the castle to head back to the mainland, we approached the two boat docks, one larger than the other. Gary and I were heading the ladies to the smaller dock at which a sign (in German) gave the departure time and destination, but some of the crew did not trust our sign-reading ...

Zugspitz - the highest peak in Germany

A travel blog entry by astre on Oct 03, 2014

Early morning we went to Oberammergau, which is famous for painting on the wall. We took picture with the little red hood. They also have a church with the Russian dome style. A short ride brought us to Linderhof. It is a mini-palace. We only looked at the outside. There is a 30-m tall fountain that runs every 30 minutes.

      We walked around and ...
