A quiet day for the Chivers clan. Starting with a morning swim in our lovely warm pool. As no trip to America is complete without a trip to CiCi's we headed out for our pizza lunch. The kids fancied chilling out so Jon took them to the cinema to watch Divergence and I hit the Arizona Mills Mall to shop shop ...

... the ground. The rest of the trip was uneventful but long. After not having slept much since we woke up Thursday morning and then traveling through the night, we were both exhausted. Our neighbor, Larry, picked us up at the airport and took us to his house where his wife, Ceil, had sandwiches waiting for us. Plus, their guest bedroom looked so inviting. ... Scottsdale stopping off to see the
Sedona Catholic Church, amazingly built on a rocky outcrop with the most

found ourselves in a full white out dust
storm, couldn’t see much of the road, ...

The trail now opened out into the hidden valley , a flat dry river bed surrounded by huge boulders each side with only one way in and one way out..it was amazing and continued to have a few challenges along the way . .. an outcrop of rocks with a 20 foot drop , we slide down on our bottoms, and a few low tunnels we had to duck under..one of the most interesting walks we had been on..

... where I met Diane, Jeri and her daughter at 2:45. It is 27 miles from home to where I met them. We rode the light rail into downtown and got off somewhere along the way to have a small dinner, then back on the train and about a mile to the stadium. By the time we arrived we had about 10 minutes till showtime. I love the Cirque and this was a good one. After it was over we took the train back to our cars and parted for our homes. A very nice evening. Just a few more things to do and I will be ready to fly away ...
