We have made it to Phuket but unfortunately, our luggage did not!!! Between that and the jet lag, it was a rough first day. Our driver was kind enough to take us shopping so we could get a change of clothes since we already used the stuff in our carry on.

The climate in Thailand is one of extremes.

We woke to blue skies and rushed to beach convinced it would be hard to get the good loungers right next to the sea. It wasn't busy at all which is something we have enjoyed about Thailand during the monsoon season. The hotel's bars and facillities have often felt like they are being run just for us.

... a feeble fan looking out to sea, it is hot and humid. The air cushions you and physical exercise of any kind will result in perspiration.
