We have made it to Phuket but unfortunately, our luggage did not!!! Between that and the jet lag, it was a rough first day. Our driver was kind enough to take us shopping so we could get a change of clothes since we already used the stuff in our carry on.

... Airlines. Our taxi drive to Cochin Airport was a long one due to a political march by the communist party in the town centre which really clogged the roads up for miles and it added an extra hour to a rather bumpy and heart pumping taxi ride. But having allowed extra time, we arrived safely and in good time and check in was smooth, but then the flight was delayed slightly. We were beginning to think India didn’t want to let us go.

... Absolutely in my element at this point!!!! There were loads of them and this one who i nicknamed Freddy was smiling at me, waving and pointing to the roof.... ... I couldn't take a heavy dose of it. I feel like an old head on this trip because everyone I've met is on holiday from their university. It's unreal how much Europeans travel. I've begun to envy them quite a bit and wished I had as equal of an opportunity back then. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers!

... some REALLY big fish in there!! We enjoyed seeing the amazing variety of sea life!

We also found a small tour company and booked a full day excursion that we are all excited about. The owner taught us how to say thank you in Thai and gave us some great info on how to get to Phuket Town for CHEAP! He said we should try riding on a songthaew so we did! What a great way to see the countryside!
