Lost Luggage and Jet Lag

We have made it to Phuket but unfortunately, our luggage did not!!! Between that and the jet lag, it was a rough first day. Our driver was kind enough to take us shopping so we could get a change of clothes since we already used the stuff in our carry on.

This morning we took the bike down to paradise beach, it had been recommended to us by Chris and Chelsea the couple from Vancouver. We went down towards it the other day but we didn't actually get all the way down the steep hill because we wanted to go exploring and not go to the beach. ... the view, we headed to the beach to watch the gorgeous sunset with our first taste of yummy Thai beer Chang and then headed out for probably one of the best beach parties we've been to! Rodeo rides...cocktail buckets...limbo...we did it all!! We have met so many lovely people so far from all over the world and made some great new friends :) ...I think we just might have fallen in love with you phi phi ...

... Airlines. Our taxi drive to Cochin Airport was a long one due to a political march by the communist party in the town centre which really clogged the roads up for miles and it added an extra hour to a rather bumpy and heart pumping taxi ride. But having allowed extra time, we arrived safely and in good time and check in was smooth, but then the flight was delayed slightly. We were beginning to think India didn’t want to let us go.

Klong Muang is a nice ,peaceful quite resort just down the road from the royal summer residence. It is also a mainly Muslim community and the people are very friendly . There are a few bars along the beach and a scattering of restaurants along the main street. There is a reggae bar and the usual Irish bar which I am saving for tonight in the hope that the Liverpool match is shown there. We have hired a moped for the day ...
