A long Journey
The journey to Dalat from Ho Chi Minh City took all day. The journey wasn't too bad apart from the road works, which meant you were in single lane traffic, on a high mountain pass. The next day the weather was…worse. It started off okay, so we ventured away from the beach to see a giant seated Buddha on a hill outside town. We decided to walk it as usual and it started to rain. By the time we got to the Buddha it was tipping it down and we were soaked, Annabel especially! We sheltered under a Pagoda for about an hour but it didn’t let up, so ...
Biking
... at a point that gave us views over all the fruit and vegetable plantations where we could see cucumbers, tomatoes, broccoli and onions being grown...and all the colours this provides. We were then driven a short distance to the foot of a hill (but a very tall, steep one) where our guides encouraged us to climb said hill, turn left when we reached the top and meet them on the other side! Wow...it was a long way up!! When we reached the top the panoramic views were stunning ...
