Very big, HUGE, walking distance too far from lobby to your room. Too far from the volcanos. Nice facility though

... the exact place the competitors start the swim leg of the race is where I swim as part of my exercise here on the island. ... of Mauna Kea took 4+ hours, with us stopping for about 45 minutes to have dinner (around 4:30). The scenery along the drive up the mountain was absolutely breath takingly beautiful! Unfortunately we could not stop at every place to take pictures. Greg stopped at a couple of places for us to take photos. I was really awed by the wonders nature created! All the wonderful sceneries were created by the volcanos during the last thousands of years.
