      Very big, HUGE, walking distance too far from lobby to your room. Too far from the volcanos. Nice facility though

      ... the exact place the competitors start the swim leg of the race is where I swim as part of my exercise here on the island. YUP.... getting in the water in the same spot, going on the same course as these triathletes,,,, what do you think? Could I just blend right in with my snorkel and fins without them noticing????? Maybe not.

      ... about 20 miles north of Kona. We drove into Kona, stopping along the way to take a couple pictures, in search of the Farmer's Market. The market is held on Saturday & Sunday of each week.       ... Honuhokau. It's supposed to be old time Hawaiian with the little shops in the houses from long ago. When we arrived we discovered we had already driven it via Kealahou but it was nice to stop this time and poke around. While there we went thru a ukulele place.       ... of Mauna Kea took 4+ hours, with us stopping for about 45 minutes to have dinner (around 4:30). The scenery along the drive up the mountain was absolutely breath takingly beautiful! Unfortunately we could not stop at every place to take pictures. Greg stopped at a couple of places for us to take photos. I was really awed by the wonders nature created! All the wonderful sceneries were created by the volcanos during the last thousands of years.
