Sandpoint, Idaho, United States dixsan... on this side was as extensive as the volcano blast was directed west and north. The ride came to a premature end though and the road was blocked off after only 4 miles. Apparently the heavy snowfall completely washed the road away. Oh well - I did get a short video of the ride back down. We carried on to Randle; this section of road was horrible - the pavement is very chewed up ...

I've attached some photos that Christy emailed after their meeting. See ...

Priest River, Idaho, United States donstevenson... had been to (Priest Lake and the lakes in the Adirondacks, for instance). We were unable to reach the owners of the resort, so we headed down to Loon Lake to look at it, and a small island we knew was for sale there. After a look at a smaller, crowded lake (Jumpoff Joe Lake), we made it to Loon, which made Waites Lake look nearly pristine. Cabins, houses trailers and mobiles were stacked up from the shores, and the RV resort we found just ...
Chewelah, Washington, United States jeffanddebTashi Delek, I write this from home--- exhausted--- but looking forward to the reflection, digestion and integration of my experiences over the last 4 months. I spent the last three weeks of study immersed in the culture and traditions of the Lepcha, a tribal people, indigenous to the north-east region of the ...
