We visited the Davis Estate winery a work in progress. He is a brother of one of our members and gave us a wonderful tour of his estate. He has owned the property since 2011 and has been planting and building the site. He is planning a full operational winery and ...

... recommend eating here if you are in Napa. The servers were excellent and food was delicious. They had no problems accommodating my corn allergy. Corkage of $15 for your first bottle of wine we enjoyed a bottle of the Merryvale Merlot it was a perfect pairing with our meals. A note that most restaurants in Napa allow you to bring in your wine with a corkage fee this allows you to enjoy some of your purchases right away :-)

Harlan already mentioned the slideout problems. Wow,it was scary…when I heard the "crack" I just knew the motorhome or slideout had cracked. Thank goodness we found the problem and hope he was able to fix it, so we can continue on our trip. The test will be when we leave here. Neither of us wanted to test fate and bring it in.

We're heading to Yosemite National Park tomorrow, followed by Mono Lake, and I'm not sure if we'll get reception in either of those places, so not sure when I'll blog again... Until then, happy travels! Phoebe's favourite thing today: Swimming in the Mountain Home Ranch pool. Blake's favourite thing today: Playing in the Sonoma Plaza ...

... areas in California being protected by mountains it's ideal. Very hot here. About 32C.

We are staying in a huge spa and golf resort, it was the cheapest we could find www.silveradoresort.com. Expensive area. Our 'room' is a good 10 minute walk from the main 'mansion'.

Tomorrow will take pictures and give valley report.
