    It's our last day at the lake, and so begins our list of lasts. Tom, Leah & I went out fishing off Star Island this morning. We used up our last minnows, and caught our last fish (6 perch). We didn't fish long as we wanted to say good-bye to Grandpa & Grandma and help them get their boat out of the lake.

    Dad woke me with a phone call in the morning, wondering when we were going fishing. I hauled myself out of bed and found Tom brewing coffee in the kitchen, and the view of a fairly peaceful lake out the window. By the time we pulled the boat out of the harbor, mom and dad were just arriving at the fishing spot in Allen's Bay. We went out to meet them.

    We were thinking about stopping on the way home to say "hi" to Paul Bunyan and Babe, but there was a carnival going on in the park, and we couldn't even see them behind all of the rides. So we headed home, making a quick stop at Teal's Market for some ice cream. We then sat by the fire and chatted with Paul, Melissa, and Tommy. Thus ends another day at Cass Lake. ...
