We arrived on the 28/6/14 and spent our first night at Blue Bay. There was only 1 restaurant open, where I had 1 rum punch, and had my head blown off- too strong for me. For Glyn waiting for us on the enormous bed! We were told to go to the spa for a welcome massage as soon as we had sorted ourselves out, which we did. We are already feeling very spoilt! ...

... Mauritius around 7 pm local time (time difference to HK is 4 hours). Since the next connection to Madagascar was two days later, Air Mauritius was kind enough to provide us with 2 free nights in the Moevenpick resort. (A fact we found out more or less by accident.)

It is about a 45min drive from the airport to the resort, ...

... and they said “oh, you mean the booze cruise.” Why does everyone keep calling it that? It was too late to switch. This was with an independent tour company, not through SAS. If it was through Semester at Sea, it would have been a lot classier…and it was. SAS actually did have basically the same thing, except better food and no alcohol. I didn’t sign up for that one, though, against my better judgment, because it was ...
