    Wonderful Breakfast

Room 5502 or (502). Our room was small but lovely. Phil and I had a huge bed, you could have fitted 4 people in it comfortably. Bathroom was clean with a shower rose with great pressure, keypad safe and wonderful storage.

Breakfast was just wonderful. Everything was so fresh and the variety was fantastic.

However, we could not control the air conditioner. It was so warm, considering it was 39 degrees outside, we were perspiring during the night. That is not the only thing, there was cigarette smoke smell coming through the air conditioner which only got stronger throughout the night.

... Shall we go home now said Gina? Ok. I slept on the plane and woke to see Venice below, making out the Grand Canal and Saint Mark's Square. At this moment we are flying over the Alps, beautiful clear views of lakes, valleys and snow topped mountains. On our way ...

... the kids enjoyed the time climbing the rock wall at the back of the ship. The young woman who ran the wall, Alycia Dean, is probably one of the nicest staff members on the ship. The kids adore her and she always spoils the kids by giving them an extra climb or two if no one else was around. She loves their manners, and I thoroughly enjoy chatting with her.

A room with a fine view, high above the whitewashed buildings of Bodrum, a castle from a turned back time of Crusaders and holy wars and a poorly Gina. From last night's long black dress to this morning's illness. I have administered a cure. I sat and read Orhan Pamuk and ate breakfast alone. It was cold! This was not supposed to be. Bodrum is a town that looks best from a distance. Up close I mingled with buses and the tourists and ...

Disembarking we walked the promenade overlooking the bay, this is a popular and beautiful seaside resort town, the lounge chairs sectioned off by individual hotels, cafes, shopping strips. Stopped off to have a rest, coffee & wifi which enabled us to send off photos & messages, I'm still learning sending by ...

... us a little under $30 ea. Bodrum Castle was built between 1406-1522, not easy to manoeuvre the steps as some were very steep and very uneven. The castle housed many artefacts, some glass which dated back to 14th century BC. Some in good condition, others that were damaged. During the late 1800's the castle was used as a prison, then restored and opened to the public in 1991. The show tonight was William Hick's Soul Satisfaction, Motown Show, fantastic singers, not long ...
