... that everyone was worn out big time, so we drove the long way to Whitefish (3 hours) because the road through Glacier is still closed due to the forest fire. We got into Whitefish around 8, checked into the Hidden Moose lodge, and had dinner in town, got into the hot tub for a few min. and went bed.
The lodge seems really nice and the kids love the hot tub. I have to figure out what we're doing today before breakfast at 8.
Glacier National Park is beautiful. We drove into the park on 2 different days, walked
a path through a grove of huge cedars and went wading in the icy cold stream. We stayed at a great campground with lots of
trees and had campfires every night.
... 2 mile hike into St. Mary's Falls. They were . . . well see for yourself.
On the east side of the continental divide it was sunny but when we reached Logan Pass (the divide) on our return it began to rain and remained drizzly all the way back to our cabin.
It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow.
... We can also plug the laptop and battery chargers for the cameras into an AC socket so there is no need to leave things charging in toilet blocks as we have done in the past. All cars need one of these I think.
