Travel Blogs from Valley Center
Arrived late last night. Had a fun time trying to figure out food. Didn't see any fast food on the drive out to Valley Center and ended up getting a Polish dog (the Chicago Dog to be specific) from Pinks and heading to bed well after midnight. Lady at the front desk took forever to check us in but at least we got our friday reservation changed to stay in our non smoking room. They were going to move us to a smoking room because they are booked solid.
... the road to the Museum of Making Music. A very interesting museum of how music has progressed in the 20th century. We both enjoyed the museum and I got some great clips from the Beatles and Ray Charles and the Beach Boys. Anyone who is into music would love this museum as it showed how instruments evolved over the last 100 years.

We had dinner at (unfortunately) KFC but we did get to sit in the mall's open courtyard which had a splashy water ...
Perfect weather for our Solana Beach day. 75 F and clear blue skies again. We headed for a walk on the beach this morning. Very beautiful surf and surfers galore. Really interesting to see mansions built on the edge of sandy cliffs above the ocean considering earthquakes and climate change. Go figure. We really like Salona Beach (pop. 13,000). Great scenery and not too busy until you get on the I-5 interstate freeway. In the afternoon we headed ...
