Notre fier bateau, le Theophilos, quitte le port de Chios quand notre bus se dirige vers Karfas. Cette baie située à 10 km au sud de Chios-ville accueille une station balnéaire familiale et toute charmante. Nous ne pouvions pas voyager en Grèce sans prendre un ferry pour rejoindre une île ! Nous avions pensé rejoindre Thassos, île très nature au nord de la Grèce (rien a voir avec les cyclades). My internet connection isn't good enough to upload photos, but I promise I'm alive and well. I'm sitting on a beach right now, and that's about as good as it gets. :) We leave Lesvos today for Ayvalik for the night and then TROY which is really cool. Only 2 more weeks!

The owner shows us the catch of the day in a refrigerated showcase and explains that the whole fish is weighed, then fileted and served at the table (remember Venice?). We select a huge 1.5 kilo monster, and even though it’s probably the most expensive dinner we have had yet, it is enough to feed us all and is definitely one of the best.
