Hamilton Island Apartments and Villas

... Island in a 4 wheel drive bus...it is basically a sand dune and the driving is over very rough terrain . We were thrown about all over the place but had great fun doing it. Swimming in freshwater lakes, driving on the beach and exploring the rainforest where there are Taipans,death adders and pythons as well as funnelweb and redback spiders all of which are deadly...not to mention the incredable number of sharks on the coastline.....lovely ...

... was too murky and we wouldn't be able to see anything. So, we road a shuttle around the island (it’s very small) and then went back to our ship. It is truly a place for the rich and famous—the marina was full of very big yachts and all the merchandise was priced out of sight. It was very pretty, though.

... had our 3rd lunch of tuna sandwiches and the sensible Frenchies decided we should leave well early to allow plenty of time to get to the ferry... lucky they did as we got TOTALLY stuck in the sand (we'd got stuck a couple of times before which we got out of easy enough).... after a few minutes traffic was starting to back up behind us as everyone was heading to the ferry..... so us lot walked up the hill while about 20 people managed to push it out and well done to ...

... Beach is called what it is, is a real conundrum as there is only a tiny little strip of what you would call a beach. Anyway Jacob and Claire had fun playing in the playground and the lagoon which is what matters most. Before heading back home for the day we took a drive out to Shute Harbour to check out the views, which were pretty good.

... an emotional time for some. The ceremony went off without a hitch and after the photos and thank you's, free drinks untill a meal on cruise boat. The meal was fantastic. I'm sure I speak for everyone at the ceremony when I say we wish Jenny and Adrian all the happiness and good times in the world.
