... day of riding, sunny and partly-sunny skies. Stopped at the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan to take some pictures; absolutely gorgeous out!

Made it to Paradise, Michigan after 508.5 miles on the road.

Staying at Corkey's motel tonight. Got a cabin on the water with a fireplace and a great view.

Dinner at the local small eatery down the road from Corkey's. Not so great.

Up and on the road to breakfast at 0700 hours tomorrow morning!

... We saw swans, ducks, loons, and the workings of a pretty hefty woodpecker. I think the rain kept much of the wildlife under cover, but we enjoyed it anyways. Wish we found this sooner. When we were done, the rain was really coming down pretty good so we headed back to our campsite.....it was thundering/lightening too, but it didn't keep ...

... day weather-wise. We did lots of driving ---- we did a loop road which took us to the northern side of the U.P. from where we are staying. Tomorrow e may go to the southern side which will bring us along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Just doing some relaxing now, some laundry and will watch some TV tonight. OMG what an awesome awesome day of travel. We left Roscommon, MI around 11 am and headed to the UP. The views along the way were simply spectacular. The waterways along I-75 were so picturesque and the further we went, the more remote it got. Open/well maintained roads made the ride very comfortable.
