    Food (five dinner: cous with packages tuna, Carr's primavera with dehydrated peas and carrots) easy mack (didn't work) red beans a rice. Lunch was mostly bagels. Breakfast mostly oatmeal and coffee. Lots of granola.

    While driving yesterday we killed our first bird via the camper windshield just before we cross the Mackinaw Bridge. The bridge is 5 miles long and was under construction. When we got to the other side we stopped at a little pull off to watch the sunset. It was still light for about another 3 hours. It seems like the sun never sets up ...

    ... MI. We stopped in Midland to worship with the brethren at the church there. It was a small group, 14 with us, but still very encouraging. From there it was about an hour more to Pam and Zack's new home in Flint Township. We were excited to be there and slept well after a busy weekend of camping, exploring, and traveling.

    I spent a couple days at Pictures Rocks National Lakeshore in the UP. It was so beautiful! It was grey and rainy the first day but I went for a couple short hikes and saw some waterfalls, some small lakes (and obviously the big one, Superior), and the Pictured Rocks.     ... the Log Slide at Grand Sable Dunes. They are very high and very steep. Did not attempt to go down as the climb back up would have been very taxing. Tom, Mia and Torgny and Sarah met up with us here.
