I spent a couple days at Pictures Rocks National Lakeshore in the UP. It was so beautiful! It was grey and rainy the first day but I went for a couple short hikes and saw some waterfalls, some small lakes (and obviously the big one, Superior), and the Pictured Rocks. On the second day I went for a longer hike to Chapel Rock and Chapel ...

Slow start to the day - that was great. Headed off with Madge in our car to 12 mile beach to find the White Birch trail. Camp ground was well sign posted but the walk was not. However Madge and Wes did find the trail which was a lovely 2 mile walk. The walk climbs up on a ridge and travels along the top through changing forest. For those of you following on the map, that's all the hiways following Lake Superior to Duluth/Superior and then dipping south towards Fargo, ND. We are stopping in at some prospective campsite in National Forests to see if we might be able to get the Motorhome in on future trips. So far, they seem ...

... day of riding, sunny and partly-sunny skies. Stopped at the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan to take some pictures; absolutely gorgeous out!

Made it to Paradise, Michigan after 508.5 miles on the road.

Staying at Corkey's motel tonight. Got a cabin on the water with a fireplace and a great view.

Dinner at the local small eatery down the road from Corkey's. Not so great.

Up and on the road to breakfast at 0700 hours tomorrow morning!

... We saw swans, ducks, loons, and the workings of a pretty hefty woodpecker. I think the rain kept much of the wildlife under cover, but we enjoyed it anyways. Wish we found this sooner. When we were done, the rain was really coming down pretty good so we headed back to our campsite.....it was thundering/lightening too, but it didn't keep ...
