A gentle day planned. The beach is very hot and busy so the pool is a better option with some lovely shade for reading and relaxing. Went for a walk up onto cliffs this morning with great views all round. Definitely needed cooling swim in the pool. Somehow the unshaded and very hot Mediterranean beach doesn't appeal as it seems to to dozens of others! Very relaxing day. Met up with a couple in the bar this evening who I had a drink with yesterday and we had some beers and good ...

    A beautiful, warm stopover.

... Just discovered that a double click on space bar puts a full stop. Come on Dave. Why wasn't I told! Trying to follow Dave's exploits in Cardiff but he's obviously in the thick of it as it's been quiet from him for a few days. Praying keeps me feeling he's safe! A few pics then I'll write some more later. Just discovered how to comment on comments! One ...

It's a long way down Spain to nearly the bottom! Ok if you fly in - but by road. Hmm . It's going to be great to see Pete & Al at their Spanish place which I've heard so much about. I plan to buy a better scale map of Spain and maybe take a less coast/motorway route back to S France. ...

... Roman Bath complex we have seen in all Europe! Then a wander through some of the old town. Narrow streets, interesting facades ( some with no actual building behind it ) and some beautiful old buildings. A cold drink before home. The city is very quiet at siesta time. Bus back to camp again, to ourselves tonight, more washing to do before setting off to the Sierra Nevada ...

Second breakdown. Red dirt and oleanders!

... In small towns, shops that look abandoned could have just been closed up for the afternoon siesta, or gone broke! Overall, dry, red and dusty, almost like Mt Isa in places . However, pretty red oleanders on all the motorway centre strips. Pace was too slow so hit the motorway again. More tolls! Just after we had left the motorway, and were on a very fast non-motorway, we ran out of fuel!!. John pumped some from ...
