All is not as it seems

On arrival it was not at all as described in the brochure however, we were satisfied with the resort. It is still being built but the work does not disrupt your peace, as we were upgraded we were pleased with the clean large room. The staff, except owner, were very friendly and in the evening an English bar tender helped pass away pleasant evenings and the food is good. You are on the beach but this side of the island and at this time of year the tide is quite low and it is not that easy to access the sea. as the resort was very quite we often had the pool all to ourselves. A long way from town and transport is about £6;00 return.

Reasonably nice place, lovely pool and great view over private beach. Lots of potential but ruined by unfriendly, grumpy staff. Sure there are way nicer places to stay on the island.

Beautiful Koh Tao in storm of the decade!

A travel blog entry by lucywallace

Thankfully it was dry while we waited for the Lomprayah Catamaran to Koh Tao, although we had to wait a long time due to the stormy winds and big swell out at sea. We weren't particularly looking forward to the crossing as a result, although it was difficult to tell how severe the sea's would be when we were sitting in the dock. The catamaran fi...

The weather was continuously improving as we arrived to Koh Tao. The clouds parted and the sun brightened the views on our approach… it was a little more like the paradise island arrival that dreams are made of. Tao promised a more genuine island, less developed and less influenced by tourism. That's not to say the deserted paradise island...

      Nitroxkurs och advanced-dyk

A travel blog entry by matt-jo
