Hoping for a sunrise this morning, but very cloudy. Sunrise a bust, and no grits at breakfast. Striking out early. After breakfast we made a stop in the library for Donna's daily puzzles. I went to fight with the IT guy about resetting my password for the second time. Next cruise on this ship I will run a string from Ft Lauderdale. So far, it's semi-working. I had plenty of time - almost 3 hrs - for a leisurely, Panda Express lunch, and to fiddle around with and charge the phone and laptop in the terminal. From Houston, it is less than 2 hours to Miami, over ...

... downtown area where space is at a premium.

The hotel rate included a breakfast buffet consisting of a fruit plate, cereal, pastries and sausage sandwich. I opted for just a cup of passion fruit/orange/guava juice and enjoyed it while sitting by the outdoor pool.

I left the hotel at about 9:30am on Wednesday. I would have liked to have left earlier, but one of my goals was to avoid the worst rush hour traffic. From the hotel I continued West on Griffin Road ...
