This morning we got up at 6, packed up the car, dropped the dogs off at doggie daycare and drove 3.5 hours to Fort Lauderdale. We got on the ship around noon. Getting on was really easy and took about 15 minutes. Rooms are not ready until 1PM so we made a beeline for Park Café. I had read numerous reviews about their roast beef sandwiches and a friend at my old job told me about them, so I wanted ...

The reaction was even better from the rest at the Hilton when they saw two limos pull up. Their surprise and joy was well worth ...

... this out which is probably why we ended up where we didn't want to be for twice the price it should have been. Anyway, moving swiftly on, a nice lady in the immigration queue advised we did a river tour in Fort Lauderdale. We managed to find a water taxi and off we went. It was wonderful. The tour was a 2 hour tour and you could get on and off as often as you liked (providing you we're docked). We were taken down millionaires row and saw the ...

... back again. After innumerable times we pass through immigration and then a Princess counter. Waiting for us next is a smiling photographer standing in front of an enormous picture of the Emerald Princess. I am looking around for the souvenir shop when the movement of the line brings us to an escalator. We step on and move upwards. A few more shuffles and the gangplank comes into view. At last! After 2 hours we are finally aboard. The line ...
