... gaux qui ne peuvent dormir sur l'île sont détestés par les blancs mais les bahamiens sont toutefois bien acceptés dans la société. Le vrai problème sur cette île selon le capitaine, c'est qu'il n'y pas de Liquor Store!!! La règle est claire. Pas d'alcool dans les rues et couvrez-vous mesdames!!!

... everyday life here we have just grown accustomed to. Some items are on all 3 lists. For example, the drone of nearly everyone’s little Honda generator in the morning and evening. We have certainly grown used to the sound, but will miss it because it signified the beginning and end of each day. ... Fl. The 101 steps are wooden. Once at the top, we can see the light is lit with kerosene. The mechanisms are all so polished they almost look new. We had to crawl through a midget size door to get to the observation deck. WOW! The first thing I noticed was the lack of protection…..no additional fencing or rail to prevent a fall.
