... ourselves amidst utmost peaceful serenity and beauty.

We then strolled through Yercaud, getting a glimpse of the procession of local artists who were accompanying the collector for the inauguration, while we enjoyed the drums and the trumpets tearing our ears apart.

Before entering the flower festival, myself and Shirley Aunty finally got a chance to gobble a couple of hot chilli bhajjis, ensuring our stomach is also satisfied with the weekend ...

Afterwards, we went to visit a local Granite factory, which specialised in making monuments for tombs in cemetries, both locally and abroad. It was an enriching experience, considering it the first time, and the fact that we never knew so much of effort goes into transitioning huge boulders into small pieces of monuments. ... the planet. We didn’t see much, but what we did take in smelled of that same spicy Indian madness that has come to define all our lives. Laying my head to rest on a single mattress brought into our double room at the hotel, I think about all I’ve witnessed since arriving in India.

Smiling, I let myself slip away. Today was another one of those unpredictable memory makers that lasts a lifetime. I take solace in knowing tomorrow will be the same.
