    Last day on the road

A travel blog entry by barbarabean on Jul 24, 2015

Finally a road meal to brag about. Great Navaho Taco - just the right spice and not greasy. My stomach says yummy. I forgot to mention the game bridges over the road. Open range again today. I saw sheep, deer, dogs, and drunk humans on the road. Passed Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. What fun Don, Jane, and I had there. Rain on and off all day. Sorry no pictures. Should get home tomorrow ...

I was not very hungry so I had a Clif Bar that I brought from home and then went to sleep. ...

We had checked out the road on Google maps street level before deciding on the route. We had to make sure the curves weren't too tight & that Chuck could maneuver our rig around them.

There was one section of road, see picture, that ...

We left Santa Fe in the morning and headed towards the
    Petrified Forest National Park. Went
along some of the old Route 66 where it was still in existence and passed
through some of the small towns that had been bypassed. Unfortunately there are no camping ...
